An app to let you check your license plates for fun is being developed in partnership with local parks, and it’s designed to help people get around their community.
In partnership with the City of Dublin, the app will provide a virtual driving guide to Dublin’s streets.
The Dublin County Council’s park service says it hopes the app is used by those who need a quick and easy way to find their way around their neighbourhoods.
“We’re not sure how people will react to this idea.
It’s going to be quite a different type of application that we haven’t seen before,” said Councillor David MacDonnell.”
But we think it’s going be a really useful tool to people and we think the people who will use it will be the ones who are most likely to benefit from the app.”
The app is being created by Dublin’s Park Service, which also hopes it will help people to navigate their neighbourhoods in a more efficient manner.
Dublin County Council says the app uses a combination of maps and photos to provide a “virtual driving guide” to help users find their local area.
The app will be available in Ireland from April 3.
