From the moment you apply for a license, you’ll want to check if you have the right to renew.
You’ll need to show proof of a change of name, if you’re a new resident, and if you’ve had a change in address.
You can also check your license renewal status in person.
You can renew your state license at any time, though you’ll need a license check and a driver’s license renewal fee of $25.
You also need to apply for another driver’s licence.
The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) says it’s been issuing more than 100,000 licenses since 2008.
You don’t need a renewal if you already have a license.
The new law goes into effect Jan. 1, 2018.
The state’s drivers licenses will expire in 2021, and those renewals are valid through 2019.
The new law allows drivers to have two drivers licenses at the same time, but that can be complicated by the requirement to renew licenses in person, and by the fact that some cities do not allow drivers to get a second license.
