According to the Department of Motor Vehicles, a new version of the driver license has been issued to Virginias drivers.
The new version is the third in three years.
It’s the first to be issued to a non-Virginian and the first issued to an American.
The state has been forced to change the license number for all non-U.S. citizens since 2012.
It is now 658A-2.
The department said that the new license was approved by the Virginia State Board of Elections in July.
“Voters who have been in Virginia for more than two years and have not renewed their license for three consecutive years will be allowed to re-apply for a new license and will be required to present a current driver license number that has been verified by the DMV,” the department said in a statement.
The DMV says that Virginias license number will no longer be valid unless it is renewed.
The department also said that Virginians who have used the card to renew will not be allowed the same benefit as those who do not renew.
