When you’re getting ready to renew your driver license in New Jersey, it’s time to start thinking about your renewal date.
New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is currently holding a special license renewal drive in order to get the state’s license renewing sooner than planned.
The department says it has been busy, as more than 400 licenses have been issued and they are taking calls from all license holders.
For example, drivers with an outstanding DWI warrant are required to submit their license for renewal by December 31, 2017.
Those who have had an accident and are not in jail will be required to have their license renewed by February 11, 2018.
Those with a minor infraction will have their licenses renewed by December 30, 2018 and those with no criminal record will have to renew by February 31, 2019.
